I am writing to inquire about alternative versions of Zotero available to ISU students.

Answer

ISU does not have an institutional subscription to Zotero, so here are some possibilities for you to consider:

--You could purchase an individual Zotero Storage account for $20/year for up to 2 GB, or $60/year for up to 6 GB.

--If some of those papers are primarily for shared use with a group, you could set up a separate profile specifically as the group owner, so group files will not count toward your individual storage limit.

--You can set your Zotero to use linked files stored elsewhere rather than files in Zotero Storage. This is fairly easy if you always use the same computer with Zotero, and gets more complicated if you have files in external/cloud storage (though the Support section of Zotero can offer suggestions, and the Zotero user forums look very helpful).
