How do I get copyright clearance for Iowa State University Press publications?

The original ISU Press merged with Blackwell Publishing in 2000 and was subsequently acquired by Wiley in 2007. The University Library does not hold the copyright for books printed by the Iowa State University Press.

If you are looking for copyright permissions for an ISU Press publication:

  1. Contact the Copyright Clearance Center to get permissions - for all types of publications - this site will tell you who holds the copyright for specific publications and help you acquire copyright permissions for a fee (which they will quote for you).
  2. Contact Wiley-Blackwell directly to inquire.

In 2018 the University Library established the Iowa State University Digital Press, an open access digital successor to the original press operated by the library. If you are looking for copyright permissions for an ISU Digital Press Publication - please contact the Digital Press directly.
