How can I get to an item's full text from a DOI?

Answer

You can search for the DOI using an open web search engine like Google, but that might not connect you to the library's online collections.

Another option is to use the "Fetch Item" tool in Quick Search.

1. From the library website, click "Advanced Search":

2. In the navigation bar at the top of the page, click "Fetch Item":

3. Paste the DOI into the DOI field and click "Submit". Only include the DOI itself, i.e., do not include "https://doi.org/":

This will open a record for the item that may include full text links. If it doesn't, the item can be requested via interlibrary loan.
