Q. Does the Library offer translation services for non-English publications?

Answer

The ISU Library does not provide translation services for non-English journal articles. Babelfish (https://www.babelfish.com) can provide some limited word-by-word translations although not completely accurate. Researchers wanting translations should check with the relevant academic department office to see if there is anyone currently in the department who can translate a particular language for them. For example, if you have a chemical journal article in Russian...try checking with the Chemistry Department to see if there are any faculty/grads who read German and might be willing to translate it for you. Alternatively, researchers wanting translations might try contacting the Foreign Languages Department to see they have anyone "available" who is willing to do a translation.
