Q. Passwords

Answer

Library services use 2 different IDs and passwords - depending on what you are trying to do. If you are trying to place an Interlibrary Loan request - you need your NETID and email password. For everything else, the library uses the last 11 digits of your ISU ID (not just 9 digits) and a library password.

Users can set their own library password at: https://app.lib.iastate.edu/set_password.php. Some online journals may ask for a password and user ID where the ISU ID Card information will not work. This usually means the article wanted is from a year that pre-dates the ISU Library electronic subscription. Check Quick Search to see if the library has print volumes available for that journal. A few databases are not accessible from off-campus due to publisher restrictions. For help with password-related issues, contact the Parks Library Circulation Desk staff at 294-3961 or circdesk@iastate.edu.
