Q. Can non-ISU folks and alumni access library electronic resources?

Answer

The licensing agreements we have for our electronic resources restrict access to affiliates of Iowa State University (i.e. current students, staff, and faculty). From off-campus computers, members of the ISU Alumni Association have access to a large, multi-disciplinary EBSCO database. To get to it, go to the Alumni Association website. Click on Directory Login at the top of the page. When you get to the login page, click on Use EBSCO Library Benefit.

Although we do allow check out privileges to independent/visiting scholars, community members, and alumni, these arrangements must be made in person and the access level does not include licensed, electronic databases. However anyone is welcome to come to the library and access these databases within the library - there is no login or ID required.
